I'm baaaaack......got relegated to the couch and watching TV for a while so Mrs starkers could check her emails. Despite warnings that skeletons could fall upon her if she rattles the branches too much, my wife is doing her family tree and gets a few email replies to her enquiries.

I am still waiting for someone to claim one that they won earlier

That's not too encouraging.....was hoping to come back to something alot more positive.

My mother just related a story her grandmother used to tell her about how people gave lumps of coal as treats to the kids out trick or treating around the turn of the century in England. Apparently coal was an expensive commodity and not for the poor, so the wealthy gave it to help bring a little warmth into the lives of the less fortunate.

Okay, that's my bit of halloween trivia
