A little Help Please

Hi I am having problems when I summit my score. I get send test status 1 error 0 . I had to pick up the game again ( this is my 2nd cd ) being I changed systems and did not load the game from the other. So I am guessing that when i changed cd that as something to do with my problem. Now I did a new name with cd but it did not work...... any ideas?

terrytux,

You need to submit your games under the same player name that you registered under.
You registered previously as Terrytux1.

What you could do is to re-register your player name to whichever name you submitted your game under.
Do that here http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp

Just a note, my last game had the same error thing show up, but the score posted anyway. go figure.

The "send test status 1 error 0" dialog isn't an error. It's what is known as a programmer's debug dialog alerting you that it submitted your score to the metaverse. I am guessing that StarDock has put "Real People" text into that dialog that should tell you "Game submitted successfully to the Metaverse", or something similar.

Just remember... don't panic when you see that dialog, as long as it says "error 0". That means "NO ERRORS" in human talk.

I think that we need a sticky tread explaining that Test status:1 and Error: 0 it is just the code for game submitted properly and received and accounted for. That way people don't keep asking the same thing again and again and again, ther are over 10 different treads asking the same question. Any of the people with power to make sticky please could you do that?

Hey, perhaps in the next patch they can translate that obscure "Test status:1 / Error: 0" to "Submitted Succesfully". :) When it fails, "Submission to Metaverse Failed" with an explanation they they may try to submit again from a save game file.

Of coarse, if I read Star Pilots post, I would not have posted this... I need to get to bed earlier. Back to work... ;)

The reason that I didn't put human speak in there was because people complained that when it did have human speak, it told them that it submitted successfully when it didn't.
