I'd buy it from retail, as net purchasing is not an option unfortunately, but I agree with Rainbird, it depends what we end up getting in the expansion first

Still-I know that it would be much cheaper to sell it only on net and d/l.Maybe I'll just get the damn card...and die in the gutter after two weeks of spending the money that is not really even mine... :notsure:

I'd buy it from a store in a jiffy! Next-up I'd order it through Stardock (boxed Set . . . I like collecting the boxes) . . .

if it will save money in the long run, only sell it through the site. if you have to sell it in retail, maybe it would be better to ship the expansion with the original game and charge a little more. i know that sucks for players that already have the game, but it would make it more appealing to the new customer. especially since it might be harder to locate the original on store shelves by that time. strategy first is pretty quick about dropping the prices on games, so i would expect the original to cost only $10-$20 by the end of the year anyway.

Retail only, sorry with a dial up modem, download isn´t an option.
And regarding the distribution of strategy first here in Europe. I think it will be impossible to buy it at all. (:(

Mayito, I have even sent cash and it worked (from eastern Europe it is quite difficult and expensive to pay by other means, I think it is worth risk, but it depends on you So I believe they would be able to accept money order and/or checks

After playing for couple months now on 1.05 and then upgrading to 1.1 I think they(devs) have many ideas as how to expand the game.

Personally I would like some campaigns to play that when finished could be submitted to the metaverse to compare(rank) your score with other people of the same difficulty level played and same campaign.

I do believe that I would shell out $20 for new expansion pack.

I would like the editor to be able to do both single game maps as well as senario(campaign) maps.

Next question ,would metaverse be split for standard game verses new expansion pack?(ie..)players that only use original game and not $20 expansion pack or would scores be similar regardless of game version played?

Direct buy via Drengin subscription - as long as the feature list doesn't get chopped down any more... In fact, it is starting to sound a bit lean as it stands now. Great game though - with further development it will continue to be well worth spending time playing!

I would pay more than 20 for an expansion especially from stardock. I would most definatly buy a Gal Civ Expansion gotta love the space strategy and sim games Espcially when they are great. gotta keep the good ones coming and the genre alive.

I'm from Holland and I did buy it directly from Stardock, including the CD package, it was delivered within a week. So if they ship it on a CD for some money much more people would be able to buy it.
