Delete zip files?

ok, I'm really showing my ignorance here, but that's how I learn. Once you have extracted a file from a zip, can you, then, delete the zip file or do you still need it for the file to run?

Delete it , or save it for the future if you lose the unzipped file.

No you can safely delete the file once your happy with the extracted one. Once the file has been unzipped you basically have 2 versions of the same file. The first the zipped one is the compressed version which makes for a smaller file transfer. The second, unzipped one is the one that is now your working file which may be viewed and modified if required. Of course if you wish to keep back-up copies on a different drive etc. zip files take up less space and tend to be tidier.

The Journeyman....don't bother...I'm opposed to invasions of privacy as 'innocent' as they are alleged.

The Telecomunications Act prohibits message interception [mostly]....I'll be damned if I am going to consent personally to any reduction of that privacy.

If emails are intercepted coming and/or going it's highly unlikely I will return communications [reply] to gmail sent items.

Heck, ...I've already asked all my contacts not to email me from a Gmail account too. I'll just bounce them back to sender. I don't like the sound of Google's game plan, personally. 'Tailored ads' ?? ...NO THANKS!

*hypothetically*
What if I'm having a very private, back and forth with a girlfriend via email.
So I open her email, ...and there waiting for me are ad's for Viagra?! Hardly needed thanks all the same Google!
