I was going to quit 3 years ago. But, smokes per carton are only $10.50 here (Virgin Islands) so that seem to make me happier! I should be named Smoke Stack! I ate so much fire-smoke anyway for 20 years and, interestingly enough, my yearly X-Rays always come back just fine. I've had a few X-Ray doctors "ask if I was a smoker"...commenting that they could not tell. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would still ask my Paramedic Partner for a smoke...having seen that man with only half a head and face shotgun suicide! > Absent this, my best for your recovery Kona0197. But, if you do start-up again, come and visit us here and take home $1,250.00 worth duty free. At $10.50 per carton, you will be well stocked-up.

Men are still more likely to smoke than women, with 25 percent of men and 20 percent of women saying they were smokers.

I find this interesting. I don't know about the US, but here in Quebec, they found that teenager girl smoked a whole lot more than their male counterparts. A lot more girls smoke. The stats are somewhere around 65% for the 15-18 girls, where only 20% of the 15-18 boys smoke.  The reason is apparently weight control. It seems girls pick up smoking because for its appetite suppressing properties.
