Sorry, I forgo to clarify this occurs on my 2nd monitor. Main desktop is unaffected. though windows work on the screen, they only size to the half of the desktop not covered by the taskbar. Very frustrating.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need to know its full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Post a picture on what it look like on boot.
  4. Do you have any other application running that change how your taskbar work or look. Such as DisplayFusion, StartAllBack, OpenShell etc.

Try these, when the taskbar is at a correct size. Do a Start11 setting backup to a file. As a test when the issue appear, and you do the restore settings, does the taskbar return to the correct size?

Does doing this return the taskbar to its after boot size? The step might not resolve your issue, but at least we know the restore work.
