Just got back from the Cenotaph. I Stood To Attention In My Very Best Uniform and Remembered Those Who Were Not as Fortunate.

To All Those In Unform, Who Stand To, No Matter Were, Protecting All We Hold Dear whilst None Military sleep Peacefully In There Beds, I Salute You, One And All, Brothers And Sisters.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: 
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. 
At the going down of the sun and in the morning 
We will remember them.

I'd love to see a pic of you fellas in uniform, Tom and naroon1.

84 years ago.....when my old man was in Crete....

Due to my years Soldiering in Africa and the old Yugoslavia, i never post Pics of my time there Doc. Its A Security Risk, even now, sorry. I am sure you have similar Soldiers In Your Country, When You Are Dealing With Terrorists, Security has to be Paramount.

I was only about 19-20 years old in this one, but this was taken at Hellenikon Air Base near Athens, Greece. I loved being there for 2.5 years!

This is me in the Norwegian Air Force 1978.

So many years ago...basic training, and close to discharge. No security concerns (beyond Social Security)...too long ago.   

2 years Army in the Before Time.

My granddaughter is active flying helicopters for the Navy.

I recognize all who serve and served.

To those who have passed beyond the veil.
