Quite the vehement response across the board. I guess I missed the explanation of why premium skins were removed to begin with, but I'll wager this plays no small part:

"Probably above my pay grade."

When a single skin costs as much or more than the program itself, who is going to bother paying for it? At that point, you're just buying a pay window. This community was beholden almost exclusively to a small group designing 'commercial' themes and the reason there aren't more people contributing has nothing to do with talent or creativity:

SkinStudio is an unnecessarily convoluted mess designed for programmers instead of creatives.

Build something that anyone can use, and you'll find people will supply their creations without demanding you pay their mortgage for the privilege. Yes, I'm sure your amazing talent is a bargain at your asking price, but let's fix this and see what others can add all the same?

I do support SkinStudio getting a major overhaul, even over new features, for when Windowblinds 12 drops. I always wished that I could have done more for the skinning community but I could never figure out how to use Skin Studio. I couldn't even figure out how to fix parts in skins to make them look better with explorer tabs which was something I was really wanting to do when Windowblinds 11 first dropped. Honestly, it would be extremely useful if at least certain features were easier to tweak for personal preference. If not, the issue then is learning how to use skin studio is really hard. If there is some spot for tutorials on how to learn the basics, this is also something I would be interested in. I always wished there were a few youtube tutorials somewhere to be found, but I never found any and therefore have been stuck not able to contribute to the skinning community.

You're welcome!

Should you start to modify or create your own, don't hesitate to ask here in the forum, and no question is stupid or noob stamped. I can help with some things, but I'm sure the more experinced skinners will jump in too. And not to forget, basj, who handles all sorts of forum support for Stardock, is also an excellent skinner.
