Transparency issues

hello,
was wondering if any way or program i can use (still in the explorer shell) where i can get my taskbar to be transparent while keeping the programs listed in it not transparent. Example, i made a folder and stuck shortcuts in it, then i made a new taskbar using that folder. All the shortcuts are there but the toolbar has a background and it cuts off my wallpaper.

Also, any way to get rid of the icons and leave only the title of the shortcut? Example, I make a shortcut with Internet Explorer. It's got the icon of an E and underneath it says internet explorer. Can I get rid of the E icon and leave behind the part where it says internet explorer?

HoverDesk can do what you want. DesktopX can probably do it too....
