I'm not seeing the beta 2.

Me either.

Is this Beta 2?

Ok, ObjectDesktop repeatedly asking for a WB update.

I am still getting crashes, and several programs that were running at startup with beta 1 will not auto start with beta 2.  Only changes made today is beta 2 and everything was fine this morning.

I figure the first response is gonna be, "Windowblinds would have no effect on startup programs."  But it is.

Now, with the stress of my son's illness, I will try to be patient, but I have no time to fool with this crap much longer.

At least I was able to disable the auto darkening.

Gonna uninstall and try a fresh install.

For the record, after the uninstall of windowblinds beta 2 and start11, and a reboot, all the startup programs once again run at startup.  No explorer crashes.

These are CursorFX, Razer Synapse, O&O desktop info, some widgets from MS Store, and GSkill RGB software.

Ok, so what happened to the ability to deactivate apps from My Downloads page?   I may need help with activations.

Ok, windowblinds reinstalled, no other Stardock apps.  Crashing has stopped.  So it has to do with the combination of windowblinds and start11.

I'm gonna install Start 11 now and see if the crashes and non startups come back.

I must be running the beta 2 because the option is there to disable darkening.

Yet ODM still says update.

Windowblinds installed, working. Start 11 had to be uninstalled because it was stopping my statup programs from running.  I don't know why or how, but the combination of WB11 and Start11 is buggy.

Taskbar button issues since Beta 1 is also in Beta 2. This is with using start11 latest version.

*Taskbar buttons flash rapidly when you hover over them withe the cursor. No smooth animations between the different button states.

*Taskbar buttons in Beta 2 cannot be organized, in beta 1 they could. They also had no nice animations when dragged around, just an ugly line that shows up like currently. Not fluid like windows 7/10/11's default animations.

*Start11 start menu blur still broken on 7 style.

What version of Start11?

Do you have anything installed which might alter explorer in anyway?  Or registry keys you changed relating to it etc?

Also do you have AMD or nvidia or intel graphics?

It is normal to get a line when dragging icons around on the taskbar when using uncombine mode.  This is the same as on Windows 10.  If you have them in combine mode then you get the icon dragged around assuming your taskbar is set to one row only.

It also looks like there is something else going on as your thumbnail popups from the taskbar are in the wrong place for each app?

Do you have anything else on your computer which might interfere with explorer in anyway and what antivirus / anti malware app are you using as it very much looks like something isn't working right in Start11.

I only had startallback or explorer patcher installed early on but not enabled/installed atm, so it would not be that. I dont run any antivirus as well.

In windows 10 there was no white line when moving the taskbar buttons on any mode set. This image below is my windows 10 machine with no custom theme apps installed, just bare windows that I use as a plex server. You can see the animations slide nicely and there are no white lines pointing to where its being moved to. Its start11 that added that white line when moving taskbar buttons.

Windows 11 with start11 installed and enhance taskbar on.  ***EDIT*** I was able to fix the flashing taskbar buttons and icons can drag now, but that ugly line when moving them still shows when start11 is enabled.

The taskbar button preview flyout is 100% windowblinds beta 2 issue. Disabling wb11 theme will make them show up in the correct spots/work. Enabling wb11 b2 theme causes them to not show up where they are supposed to be.

You say not enabled/installed?  Does this mean one of them is still installed and perhaps doing something other than the taskbar features it offers?

With regards to the line, it looks like a single row taskbar is showing drag animation in uncombine mode but swaps to a line when more than one row in Win10.  We move to line when uncombined.

This is nothing to do with WindowBlinds however, this is a Start11 thing and is unlikely to change as it is an extreme edge case thing.

I am more concerned about your issue with the flickering as it points to a problem and misaligned taskbar popups would be linked to it potentially.  Any more info you have on your physical setup and what is installed would be most useful.  Is this using a mouse or touch/pen etc too.

Why would the white line show when start11 modifying the taskbar though? Default 11/10 taskbars have it when in single line. Though 11's is just bigger icons. Why does it have animations with start11 if set to always combine but goes to line when set to never?

I updated the post above. I completely removed start11/wb11 b2 and rebooted. Then I reinstalled them and rebooted one more time. The flickering is gone. However, that preview issue still persist when you apply a wb theme. Not having a wb theme installed shows them properly. That is 100% a wb issue or a mixture of start11/wb11.

**EDIT** the flicker came back after applying a few themes. So there must be something going on with wb11. You can see it was fine in that gif below.

K, there is something seriously going on with start11/wb11 beta 2. I have completely reinstalled them to fix the taskbar button flickering and dragging. It worked fine, but after a few themes applied. The flickering has come back and I am unable to drag taskbar task buttons around again.

I don't expect you to go back looking thru posts, but I have already given this information.

Yes, AMD graphics.

No on the "anything installed that might affect explorer.

All is well until I install Start 11 AND Windowblinds 11.

Either is ok on it's own.  Now today I have to go to Tennessee.  I hope this is fixed when I return. I'm about done here.

Sorry Tom and Don.

I have problems with firefox and wb11 beta1 and now with wb11beta 2.

Many of the wb skins works not with firefox.

Normally the firefox tabs looks like what:

This is the rightclick menu:

and this is the optionsmenu in the top right corner:

But with many wb11 skins i have no text on the tabs:

thats all what i see of the rightclick menu:

and the optionsmenu in the top right corner shows a small white line only:

What can i do?

Sorry for my bad english.

What stock ones do and what ones do not?

Also, does it happen if you fully shut down FF (does not show running in TaskManager) and then reopen it with a skin already applied?

A number of us internally have tried to reproduce this but could not:

https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/explorer_2022-11-09_12-15-21.mp4

If you restart Windows Explorer, does that resolve it?

If you do a clean boot, under a new Windows Administrator account as directed, does it still do it?

I close my FF completly every time and if i start it, the wb skins already applied.

I have so many skins, but for example these skins don“t work:

BlueDream, Construct,  Halo Combat Evolved, Lantana, GoldCarbon

These skins works:

Agenda, Alter Ego, Hardwood, Curvity, xRaptor
