Laser beam is too weak not worth to invest on when compare with Kinetic

Noted that the sitting are like Beams weaker with lower production cost while Kinetic have higher power with higher production cost. However, when the tech. goes up it is a different story. Once plasma pod and second tier Pulse cannon are ready. I notice that the power on the third tier plasma pod beams are weaker than the second tier Pulse cannon and the have the same production cost.

Can we re-look on the weapon balance and design? it is clear that beams weapon are too weak at current cost.
