LoginStudio - Password Edit Bmps won't show

Hey -

After I apply a LoginStudio package with an image in the "Password Edit/Picture" definition I still get the generic white field when I type in the login password at login. I'm thinking I should be typing over the image that's defined. Is the image that's defined supposed to remain while you type in the password or is it supposed to go back to the solid white default? I'm wondering if there is some setting buried somewhere that I need to change, it would be nice to force the image to remain while I type over it. A good example is Red Autumn (one of my favorites, btw) which has a nice little red image in it in the preview and edit screens, but when I actually use it I get the (blah, ick, yawn) white field to type on after I click on it.

Dave, I just tested Red Autumn and evrything works good. I dont get the default white password image.
Is this happening with just this one Logon or are you having problems with every Logon that has an image for the password?

As far as I can tell I'm getting the white box on any Logon, including all those with an image there.

I should also mention that I'm running WinXP, could be useful.

I want to be sure you understand I'm only getting the "white box" in the specific section you type the password into, in other words I do get the skinning on the rest of the block which includes "User Name", "status" and the logon icon.

I just had another look at it. I think what we're talking about is the image Bitmap_102.bmp being overlayed by the password object. If I look REALLY close I can see the outer rim of 102 around the password field, say about 3 or 4 pixels all the way around it. And, if I apply new Logons through LogonStudio and just log back in without shutting down, my "white box" becomes a "gray box" because today I'm running the Transylvania WB skin which use a lot of gray in backgrounds and objects. (Yesterday it was staying white, I was using a skin using a lot of white.) I'm just now wondering if it will reset to a "white box" again after I reboot, didn't think of that till just now. Anyway I think you get the idea.

10 to 1 there's an option somewhere that I want to change and haven't found yet. Ideas? Part of this is that I want to be sure I'm not necessarily stuck with the white box before I make a hobby out of trying to get rid of it. Better still if someone can tell me how

I think that's how the logons work. I don't think that part will be skinned as I never see them skinned anywhere, and if I use a dark skin with a grey background, it's grey where it should be white. I'm pretty sure that it's normal behavior that you have to work around.

Thanks Messy. That's one vote for "stuck with it", at least I know now it's not just me.

I'm still hoping somebody knows a way around this or isn't experiencing the issue. Anybody?
