Moderators...

I must say I am more than a little disappointed in the fact that I have uploaded a wallpaper an it has been “turned down” for what ever reason. Now I am not one to judge another persons work and call it trash or junk, but some of the walls that have been posted were just that.

In many cases they end up all looking the same, a bunch of balls and donuts colored different and called abstract. I went out of my way to try and create something different that could actually be seen for what it is, and was rejected. That is fine, the mods don’t like it and it doesn’t get added. But what ever happened to the common courtesy of the e-mail saying that something was rejected instead of making someone feel like they aren’t good enough and then are brushed aside for the “abstract” crap that floods the wallpaper section…

BTW I am not saying that the wall I submitted was all that great but to upload it 2 times and both times it was just removed without even an email saying sorry we don’t like it???

Here is what I asked to be uploaded: http://www.alltattooz.com/TRG/Ship.jpg

Rejection emails were dispensed with when they became the incentive for vitriollic response and abuse and obscenity targeted at the [volunteer] moderators.

Instead, an auto-email is sent when a work/wall is accepted.

Here's an example of a response and its response...intact except for sender's name.

I think you will come to understand from this exactly why rejection emails are no longer sent.  Not only are the Moderators volunteers, they are also human beings worthy of what was once known as 'common decency', now a rare commodity..

Fusion 3D, don't take it so hard, just take it as constructive critisism. Keep practicing and I'm sure your stuff will one day grace the cyberpages of WinCusto. I have tried to upload a screenshot and that got turned down of all things and that was mostly other peoples work with just a few tweaks. Just keep doing what you're doing. You can only improve with time (pretty sure), you're on your way.

I was rejected 7 times before I got anything in,but I dont have to be ashamed later of anything I have here. You are right that some pretty awful stuff goes up sometimes(some of it certainly no better than yours)but we leave it up to the mods what gets in and for the most part I trust their judgement.(except of course when they reject anything of mine, then I figure I must have got the one mod with no taste... ).

Fusion 3D:
I would not have downloaded your wall. Not enough attention to details. To much like Star Trek. To bland.
But do not feel bad. Try again!

Sometimes corresponding with the mods by mail will tell you why it was rejected and how you can improve your work! Keep trying Fusion.

I'm not a moderator, but I can give you an idea why it probably wasn't accepted.

The main problem is composition. There seems to have been little thought given to the use of space or the relation of the various objects to each other. There's no balance to the image, and it doesn't lend itself well to use as a desktop wallpaper. While it shows a hint of talent, and it's undoubtedly quite a nice picture, it's certainly not something many people would use as a wallpaper.

The first thing I think when looking at the image is that it seems like a tutorial image which didn't come out quite right. It's almost as if it's a picture taken by a camera of a moving object, except the person taking the picture was a little too late in pressing the button.

Just my opinions, and they're only intended to give you an idea of how some might interpret the image.

grayhaze, on a serious note, I feel the same as you do.

It looks to be a good begining of learning the program to expand your abilities with it. Once that curve is made I am betting you will be making some out standing Walls if you stick with it with a passion.
