Better Message Boards

Obviously it doesnt have anything on it, but that is because I just set up about 2 minutes ago.

I dont have any pop-ups as it is and isnt this msgbrd ...er ...um ...free

lol, Yes of course it is free, but there isnt much functionality or style to it. What I am suggesting is a seperate message board. But this IS perfectly fine, I just think it could be better.

I'd say that WC's message boards are just fine. They are as good as any I've seen and better than most. And.... I've yet to see a pop-up here.

I run free forums on my own server just like you are doing on proboards. I also have no pop-ups. Doesn't mean that I'm getting enough members to justify having them there though. Seems like you are in the same boat as I am.

WC on the other hand doesn't have that problem, they get more hits and have more members than you can shake a stick at. And that my friend, is the difference between "message boards" and "better message boards".

How about we like it the way it is. How about if you don't like it find yourself another MSGBD that you like. Could be as simple as that.

but a pretty tactlessly made suggestion. Generally speaking, when you're new to a community, you hang out for a while an see how things work. Gradually join in and become an accepted member of the community. Politely worded suggestions will be better received then.

I remember 'lurking' for quite a while, way back on Skinz.org [pre-brown]...before deciding I had sufficient awareness to be likely to post something valid to the existing members.....it ended up being "CD Stomper' is a great little skinned CD player"...[I think it's one of the seldomestly [new word] skinned proggies ever]...

Anyway....point is that the board was very much like this....which was good then, and still is now.

That said, there's always pokers in the fire with regards to 'improvements' and alternatives.....makes life 'exciting'...

Jafo is right. Hes been around these skinning site a long time. I've been here over 2 years now and this place is like home. I've meet a lot of people who are like friends. I may have not seen them in person, but that doesn't make a difference.When some newbie attackes or is perceived to be attacking the site or the people here, you will find out that others will come to there defense because it's like you are attacking them also. Just like Jafo said, stop listen, learn them jump in slowly and you will be accepted.
