Whenever I am not connected to the internet, I can't even start singleplayer games. The log always shows:
[App] Lost connection or server ended the game, going back to the main menu
How is it possible that the game works with internet connection but not without?

Yes, this is the exact same behavior that I am facing.

There is a Steam opt-in (under 'Betas') for OTC that should resolve this issue.

just wanted to give this a try, but I couldn't find any recently added entries unter Betas. Could you specify which version to use?
