Stardock announced the next-generation version of its Windows® cursor customization application, CursorFX 4, today. With CursorFX, Windows users can instantly change their default mouse cursor on their computer with animated and themed cursor designs.

CursorFX makes it easy for Windows users to customize their mouse cursors by applying skins, shadows, motion trails, and sounds. Users can also import .PNG files into the CursorFX theme editor to create brand new cursors from scratch.

The new version of CursorFX adds support for Windows 10 and high DPI monitors, several new cursor packs, and more. Thousands of additional cursors are also available for download on WinCustomize.com.

"We wanted to bring better cursor customization options to Windows 10 users," said Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock. "CursorFX has a ton of options for animations, special effects, and sound effects, as well as a robust customization community filled with thousands of users around the world.”

CursorFX 4 will be released soon to all users for $4.99. The beta version is available now for subscribers to Stardock's Windows enhancement suite, Object Desktop. Visit www.cursorfx.com to learn more.

Is CTRL+SHIFT+C no longer valid?  Isn't working here.

Out of curiosity, how far back can we go when it comes to download Cursors ?? Just wondering since there is 6 from this year, one from 2019, and one more from 2018.  All the rest from 2017 and older.  I got to 2012, and then had a couple that didn't seem to load in but then suddenly worked.  Part from one called Blue Killer (link), you get up the box saying it been installed, but it is not showing among the cursors.

Now I do have over 500 cursors, but the older version of CFX doesn't take forever to load.   So, seems there's work to be done there.

Would you mind mention your best 5 cursors or so ??  If they still work on the new CursorFX app that is !

Oh, and the config window still doesn't show all of the cursors, so I must assume some are incompatible

I would need to know what some are (handful, not a bunch...) - their WC links would be most helpful.

Drop down menus don't work in Photoshop when using CursorFx 4. That's all drop down menus, not only in the save file dialog shown in screen shot. My Photoshop is rather old (CS5), but still does a very fine job imo. I tested without any other customization programs running too, with same result.

Right clicking on e-mails in Mozilla Thunderbird 68.6.0 does not work.

For hundreds of cursors? LOL...Linkage not likely. Maybe for a few.

I have over 500 cursors. I see maybe 200 if that in the config window.  I will get exact count when I can. Gonna take time.

Fine here, but I'm running Photoshop CC 20.0.50

RND, that is what I want - just a few - so I have something to test with.

Is there a way to turn CursorFX off when running in a full screen game that supplies its own cursor? CursorFX is otherwise running very well for me, but when I fire up Skyrim I frequently get two cursors on the screen, one from the game and one from CursorFX.  Before I installed CursorFX I didn't have that problem.

Answered that one.  I cant seem to reproduce it on two PCs.

Right clicking on e-mails in Mozilla Thunderbird 68.6.0 does not work.

This I was able to reproduce - I bugged it internally.

Hmmm, Ctrl + Shift + C should disable CFX (redone to re-enable)  but its not...  I will bug that.

In the meantime, you can disable CFX from its systray icon:

That said, I did test this with DemiGod and CFX did not conflict with the game cursor.  Is Skyrim the only game you have where that is happening?

Yes, so far it's the only one. Oh, and I guess I should mention that it's Skyrim LE, not Skyrim SE.

Using OpenOffice 4.1.7 to edit a .ods file, when I go to "Save As" I want to click on the "Save as type" drop down list, but using CursorFX with the LightRing cursor downloaded from WinCustomize clicking on that has no effect.  If I go to CursorFX and change back to the default Windows cursor, clicking on that drop down list works again.

Note: I also tried several other cursors, both ones that came with CursorFX and some downloaded from WinCustomize, and only the Windows Default cursor works.

I was able to reproduce this and is - no doubt - the same issue that Yrgl is seeing with his older version of PS.

Incidentally, LibreOffice does not have the issue.

I have bugged it internally.

Sean, upon a hard count, it seems they are all there.  It sure didn't look like 500.

I thought I posted this but. the problem you had from at least version 2 (if not 1) is that if you use a mirrored cursor (I'm left handed and feels betters that way) you have to click about 1/2 inch to the right of any button. That is with any cursor in the default build. I haven't been able to get extra cursors to load so haven't been able to try it.
