Ranked multiplayer/Daily challenges/Infinite Map Challenge don't work

I just recently bought the game and I wanted to play some multiplayer, but for some reason, the ranked multiplayer button is greyed out.

I've also noticed the Daily Challenge and Infinite Map Challenge are also disabled when I hover over them, a tooltip appears saying "You need to be logged into Tachyon to play the daily challenge/infinite map challenge". 

After some digging, I've seen some people say to try restarting the game, that it was a problem with server connection. I've restarted it multiple times but for no avail. Some said to verify the integrity of the game files on steam, did that multiple times, still no success.
