Problem with copy/paste of images

Hi, I have a problem with copy/paste of images on forums.

Initially it was all fine. However lately the forum is giving me a strange behaviour: whenever I copy/paste an image (no matter the size, even a 2x2 inches picture), in the preview everything looks fine, the image shows up and looks ok. However, when I click "Save" to post it, a wall of text appears instead of the image (I think it's some kind of meta-data from the image I'm trying to post).

What's happening and I can I solve it?

This worked....browsed from my HD ....no issue.  What type of source are you coming from?

BTW....it's my most recent skinning project for FSX ....home made paint kit had to be done first...;)

Basically I save screenshots from GalCiv 3 as .JPG, then open them with Paint, select the part I want then try to copy/paste it on the forum.

This is an example of what happens (in the preview I see the image normally)

Just go to make a new post. Say what you want to say then go all the way to the right and click on the last icon. Insert/edit image. Click on it and find you image and click on it to load it here. Copy/paste doesn't and has never worked in the forums

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Dave not all members have that option.

Members with a ranking of 5 or higher have insert image button to use.

Other members can use a Free Image hosting site like https://imgur.com/?

which gives you a direct link you can use to post your images here

in this forum, give that a try .

That's strange, 'cause (if I remember well) copy/paste of images was working fine at least up to last August, then I started having this problem.

Well, I'll stick to file host then for now.

Thanks Mike for this info. Didn't know about that. Not even sure where to find the file ranking but I know I must be above that.

I only upload .JPG's, never had a problem. Maybe problems are happening with .PNG's?

Yeah, guessed the same. Maybe I should try to update the browser (if doesn't work, just stick to image host as I said).
