Keyhole view of opening screen

Game launches but the screen is black except for a narrow (1/4") vertical slit down the middle. What little I see in the slit appears to be an opening screen with movement, but does not appear to be shrunk just matted by the black screen on the right and left. My normal display is 1920 x 1080.
