This a download limit thing...but not your normal question...

So...I have not contributed any money to wincustomize, but I also contribute alot here on the boards and in terms of skinning. I dont think I've downloaded 100mbs of stuff but I'm not sure. Even though I am contributing online, when I hit the limit will I be unable to download skins? I'm not clear on this...

If you do not Subscribe then there is a limit to the download.

If you are a subscriber then there is no limit to downloading.

Doesn't count for apprentices and above. You're an apprentice Styl. Cerebro is a citizen, still.

What do you download Cerebro? With 44 Megs so far you're still good for a while. Continue to skin, continue to contribute, help out newbies, etc, and you may end up promoted eventually.

By what means did you come about with the number of downloads, Styl? Is that the number of kilobytes? I'd be curious to find out on just how many occasions I have clicked the Download link @ Wincusto.

According to my profile, I have downloaded 1.29 Gigs of skins. Insane, I tell you! Insane! I'm sure do not hold 1st position when it comes to number of bytes downloaded though.

Hmmm, where do I keep it all?

I guess I'm mistaken, but it was my understanding that contributors to the site such as yourself became
exempt from the normal download limit.....

It sure is refreshing to see someone trying to work through this problem rather than hit the download limit and then post those sour grapes threads. Good for you Cerebro.

The "purchase" is anything (doesn't have to be a WC subscription). It could be as small as CursorXP or Toon-XP.

If you stick around enough, though, you will make to an apprentice.

From someone who recently bumped into the d/l limit, I can tell you that it IS 50 megs. I've purchased OD since then (read: last night), so now I'm unlimited

Been meaning to buy the suite anyway, so it just gave me the lil push I needed to do so
