Ectato Pacifier

Background: Ectato, the ant-like collectively-sapient insectoids have neither emotions, nor mercy to spare - just plain blasters to wipe out anything or anyone standing on their path to expansion. Their tiny quick and maneuvarable basic ship costs 17 points currently and is equipped with a Beam Carver and Heal ability.

Use: Is a good counter to Scryve, Trandals and the Measured core ships. Best used in hit-and-run close combat with quick self-healing breaks. Ectato comes from the name of one of the multiple ant sub-families, "Ectatomminae" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ectatomminae).

THE BASE (and Probe):

The Base, is an mobile research station, mostly for the creation of Weapons and Bio-weapons, and the occasional Xenobiology study.
Being a weapon research station as well, it's very well armed with unique Lasers and protected by strong Shields.
It's drawback is that the size and shape does not allow the ship to fly quickly or even turn with precision, so it relies on Probes to help with attacks and reconnaissance.
It's Unknown what species pilot the Ship. Bio-Scans shows NO Lifeforms.

Hi all!
I'm posting updated versions of my ships from reply #12. The geometries of some of the parts changed with newer builds, which messed-up some of my designs. So these are fixed and updated to the latest chapter 1 founders build (v0.89.44364 BETA 1B). Link.

I'd also like to submit updated versions of my entries to the ship design contest from several months ago (the Sniper one won me a Stardock game!). These two are fast and agile medium ships. The Sniper is focused on sharpshooting enemy vessels at long-range, but it's also equipped with a short-range burst weapon for backup. And the Stinger is specialized in delivering large amounts of damage at close-range, utilizing both of its weapons simultaneously, while performing flybys or ramming maneuvers.

The ECTATO PACIFIER is definitely my most Favourite.

What i notice about many other ships is that people tend to build them overcomplicated, they look too busy and over sophisticated. Takes away the  aesthetic factor and in turn look less functional. Not saying it isn't, it just looks that way.

Having said this, how it moves and functions as well as the weapons and how they function plays a big role.

Not much fan of the giant robot transformer though, nothing against it it's really cool, but it feels to me that it belongs in another game, not star control.

I would love to see the J-type 327 Nubian royal starship, it has all the right lines and curves. and Yes i'm a big fan of the original Urquan dreadnaught ship

Infected Scryve Battlecruiser

The Pinthi race seems in our side. So, I made it does some attack to Scryve. This is inspired by the new bio parts.

J.T.X. MK2

A black hole experimental vessel MK2. Not faster than MK1, but equip with powerful weapon combination.

USS Alexander

The First Human-Pinthi tech vessel. Medium in size with low speed, but the weapon combinations is very effective against large slow ships.
