Founders Vault updated July 8th

new mockup

I noticed today there was a City Screen Prototype up on the Founder's Vault today. I'd like to say my jaw dropped at the artistic polish already. If any of this could be back ported to Legendary Heroes, that would be amazing.

Cool to see some of the art assets being reused in a good way. I like the overall flow. I'm not trilled about having large and small icons for production. What quantity do the large ones represent? 5? 10? It's hard to tell when there isn't a large or small one present which one it is (for reference, see the grain symbols). I'd suggest adding in a little more distinction other than size.

Will we be able to have build queues? The Progress section only shows one in there right now and I could forsee wanting to queue up some production.

Large is 10, small is 1 (tool tip gives exact amount)

E2015, like GC3, implements the Shafer button (turn button changes based on context) so we won't have queues this time around.  However, you will be able to use mana to rush build.

Thanks!

You should really patent "The Shafer Button". Sounds cool.

Will you be able to found other cities than your starting one? Curious how this will scale over time.

It's a nice layout of the town menu, it looks really nice. Thanks Lord Reliant for giving the tip on the founders vault. :)

Are the food/production/logistics numbers changeable, i.e. we can assign population between them, or they just a static info?

BTW wehere is population/level information, after all?

Graphically beautiful, I am just afraid of too much steamlining...

I wish there was some way to hybrid the new graphics of the game and the new ideas into the old LH 4X model.

It just seems that the fantasy game I really wanted from Stardock is now split between two iterations of the franchise.

New updates (July 10th), showing another shot of the city screen, the crafting screen, and a super smiley Shadow Warg.

Feedback on the latest City prototype- I'd rather see both my city's improvements, enchantments and units AND my production queue at the expense of having a much smaller city picture at the top. Maybe more is planned here, but having to click one more time just to get that info seems like extra clicking.

I also suggest adding a number behind each Resource. So in the most recent example:

Food (33)

Production (41)

Essence (1)

Logistics (4)

I'd rather not have to count out my icons. Also, what will it look like when there are 10 of the large icons? Is there an even bigger icon of each Resource?

I continue to be amazed at the artistry in that screen. Stunning.

Frigg'en Love'n it.  Easy to read!  Reminds of the height of Microprose games.  Keep it up!
