This is a bit off topic.  Need help watching Last Ship / TNT.  I started watching Last Ship, and a review of the novel its based on.  Seems like real quality drama.  However, my Web connection seems to 'pause' the Last Ship / TNT extremely often... makes viewing not worth it.  I use palemoon to watch Netflix, absolutely no problems at all.  Is there a recommended software I might use that plays well with TNT/web?

Well, if you're going to watch the show, don't do it for the acting. It's an interesting premise though. Will watch more.

4 episodes in and I'm starting to get the feeling that events unfold in order to show how "tough" the crew is, rather than using interesting things as an opportunity to do the same. The first being: "how can we show that the captain is a family feel-good guy with doubts of how own? I know... let's have a draught". The second being: "what interesting thing could happen, and how would the characters respond as a result? and how can we use that to make the characters deeper?". The first is drama, the second is sci fi.

Well we all don't have to enjoy but I for one do. It's a TNT show can't put million dollar actors everywhere. They do just fine for the content of the show. Conspired to many of the shows on TV also with not so known actors this show is interesting.

New genre - "present apocalyptic"

I watch and like the show.

The last episode was pretty good, and so far I'm enjoying it.

Just shows you can make something enjoyable with a minimum amount of cast. Some of the shows you can't keep up with who is who.

honestly i could only watch 30 min of the pilot untill i started hating it

1. RUSSIANS are the bad guys again- 99.9% of the time - it gets boring

2. russians in this TV show use american equipment lol all american - i dont know how people could go along with this

3. 2-3 US marines kill a recon squad of russians, i mean im not russian but any one with any knowledge about any combat knows that it is impossible

bottom line in contrast to you guys i could not stand this show, i gave it 3 tries....

I just watched 2 first episodes and the main plot is interesting, i mean i am interested about whats going on, but the acting and the screenplay is supbar and shallow sadly... and for gods sake i cant stand the patriotism thing, its sooo fucking annoying, another show ruined with this BS. "PERMISSION TO SALUTE THE CAPTAIN, SIR!" .... whoever comes with these retarded quotes needs to be fired and never allowed to write screenplays for TV shows again...

Its truly sad how shows with this kind of premise (containing some background mystery, which is something i like) usually end up pretty bad, while shows i am not really interested in watching based on what i know about their premise (like Breaking Bad for example) turn out to be really brilliant...

I didn't realize this was the season finale until it started.

I thought it was a pretty good ending to the season, and overall I enjoyed the season.
