Logged into Steam and the game is just sitting there. Not downloading any updates. When I look at DLC it only shows the soundtrack. Whats going on here?

You need to opt in (it's optional). Right click on rebellion, choose properties, and enter the public beta.

Anyone play the 4 player Systems of War map? It's been significantly altered for the worse unless it's a bug. Phase lanes that connected everything together in the center are gone, the pirate base is missing as are a few other planets.

I also have had missing planets/phase lanes happen even in the map designer, as well as in games on my own galaxyforge maps

It is a known issue that occasionally crops up with the Galaxy Forge tool during map editing and creation. Were you editing these maps or just trying to play them within the game?

I think this is definitely a bug with the game Boshimi. Way too many people are having it, even on previously fine stock maps.

Also, you need to get on steam/teamspeak more.  ;)

boshimi, the maps concerned are maps of mine that I created during entrenchment, and have used my map updater to move to rebellion, and they have worked on previous entrenchment versions, but failed on the 1.5 beta.

I'm so confused.   I started Steam.   Went to Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion.  Clicked Properties. 

 

Under the question that says "Select the beta you would like to opt into:

 

I chose this:  Beta: Public BETA Opt-In

 

Underneath that there is a box that says

"Enter beta access code to unlock private betas:   (Then a button that says "check code")

 

I don't have a beta code.  I've scoured this site and have found no "beta code".  Nor have I even found anyone mentioning a beta code.

 

I thought maybe my steam client just needed to be restarted.

 

I restarted it.   Same thing.  No downloads happen.  No updates to the current loaded version happen.  And I have no code to put in the box.

 

Help!

No code needed, just select OK or Close and it should download the update in a few minutes,

Vasari's "Junsurak Sentinel" should add into the description of "Charged Missile" in the upcoming patch.

It does get "Charged Missile" ability, but the tech's description doesn't mention it.

I can't seem to select the beta option in Rebellion's Steam properties. My only option is opt out... :/

Also, devs: Work on the TEC Loyalist Titan's "group shield" graphic. It looks horrendous and spoils an otherwise great looking game. Something similar to the Advent Guardian's bubble would look much better.

EDIT. Nevermind, I restarted Steam and it appeared. You may want to put this in the OP since some of us nerds leave our PC's on 24/7 and have little reason to restart :p

That probably means that you are running the Beta already.

 

Just run the game and check the version number.
