Should I get this game?

I have played Galactic Civilizations for over 2 years now and I loved it to bits and pieces.

However, I am looking for a new game to play.

The question is that how good is this game right now in comparison to Galactic Civilizations?

Can I customize units like I can customize ships?

No, you should definitely not get Elemental: War of Magic. It is barely an average game.

You should get Fallen Enchantress (if you are interested in 4x TBS games with a fantasy twist). It is much better, and you can customize units although here your choices result in direct graphical differences (metal breastplate selected = unit wears metal breastplate). You have a few choices that are visual only (clothes like cloaks, hairstyles with no stat difference), but for the most part each choice has a pre-made graphical component.

Yes, you should get this game NOW! It's the 2nd best turn based fantasy game next to MOM (Master of Magic). It's not quite there yet with Galactic Civilization 2 but, I'm sure Brad will make it so. Join the fun, get in on the forum speak. ;)

I suppose I am in the minority here, but I enjoyed Elemental:War of Magic. I don't know where you can get it, I don't see it on Steam.

On another topic I just picked up Gal Civ I&II for $14.99 on Steam...I felt that was a no brainer.

WoM can be fun, FE IS better, in so many ways I can't begin to post them all here, but hey, its proably going for $5 or so somewhere online...

You should get Fallen Enchantress.  It's a far superior game than War of Magic.

You can still buy boxed copy on Amazon.com for about $6.

14.99 for GalCiv I & II, nice! That is definitely worth the money if you don't have them.

All my mates buy War of Magic and not the better FE,  why?

No Multiplayer.  So everyone who play galac civ  will have "same" game at fantasy background.  All who loves real human enemys can't reach the better game because FE and Add ons never had Multiplayer Option.

Frogboys have wirtten about this thing a lot and good stuff.  As long as the fan base supports FE without multiplayer or PBEM  so lang none of my mate will buy.  Thats fucking bad for myself  so we all play on civ5 mp. And thats my friends, is boring when you know that it gaves a much better game.

I stay tuned and hope for the glorius idea to take multiplayer in FE back.
