Sins: Rebellion Collector's Edition Upgade

Sins: Rebellion Collector's Edition Upgade

So I got an email about the upgrade to Sins Collector's Edition... According to the email, only 2,600 are available... and the price of the "upgrage" is $69.99 plus S/H.

I already own Rebellion on steam. Does it mean that I still have to pay $69.99 plus S/H for a toy and dog tags?

Check out what’s included below:

  • Painted Kol Battleship Model
  • Set of Rebellion dog tags
  • Metal imaged mouse pad with Rebellion artwork
  • Steelbook DVD Case with game DVD and 2 music CDs
  • Two 18x26" Rebellion posters

I checked and after taxes and shipping, the so-called "upgrade" will come to roughly $109...

Now I would be happy to own this stuff, but for at least 2x cheaper... considering I already own the game and all previous sins games.

Some bend in the model is normal. We tried to eliminate this during production but it's to be expected. For those of you you've gotten yours, you can attest to how heavy the thing is. ;)

So, my brother accidentally canceled my pre-order about two weeks ago. Once the full bundle was back up I repurchased it. Am I still going to get the coupons? Did we ever hear more about what the coupons were?

Nope. You may abuse your brother as you see fit. The coupon was for a % off your next Stardock purchase in October 2012 (CE goodies excluded).

It's very heavy, I'm talking Blunt-object-to-the-back-of-someones-head-who-has-wronged-you-and-mistakingly-turned-their-back-on-you-not-realizing-the-threat-you-pose-to-them heavy.

And the bend is present in mine but honestly not very noticeable and considering how beautiful and well done it turned out it's hard to complain about it. This is a true labor of love to the fans.

Mine had pieces fallen off of it when I got it out of the package.  The big one was easy to fix, but the pieces the fell off of the front will be harder to fix.

It does look good, I will just have to fix it, though a couple of lasers from the front are broken in half.  I seriously doubt I can fix those.  So that is really disappointing.  It lost a lot of value because of that.

Would it be possible for me to send this one back and get a good one?

I ordered mine on monday...If it's half broken when it arrives I will be shouting and yelling so hard...And ofcourse demand  i get one that isn't in half...

If I buy something, I expect it to be in a 100% state(given maybe a slight bend that isn't that noticable I might be fine with) and otherwise what would be the reason to buy it at all 1st hand...

And yes, I'm really such an ass about buying things, no matter how awesome the game itself is ;p

Btw, can you post a picture holding the model in your hand? I want to see how big it is in comparison :)

Indeed it does.

I had a few of those other ships in the (above) pictures at one point, so its a big ship.

I guess i'll have to play TEC more to gain emotional attachment to it.

The Kol looks really cool.

Dev's, i'd recommend better pictures next time, as that would probably enhance sales.

Possibly, but I don't know what the policy is. If you email [email protected] or [email protected] they should be able to assist.

Ok. Thanks.  I will to fix it first, though.  What type of glue should I use, anybody?

For these models, a dab of superglue should do just fine. Be sure to keep gentle pressure until it sets. If you have 'Green Stuff' lying around that would work as well though be careful ... it's green.

Superglue sounds fine, but be aware, there is a slight possibility the plastic (or resin, idk) will melt away.

I´d advise using model plastic-glue, if you have any at hand.
