The new Stardock Store is online!

https://store.stardock.com/

Not only is it easier to go through all of Stardock’s programs but many programs you’ve purchased can be re-downloaded directly from the new store, no client required (and we’re adding more all the time).

Rebellion's release date is listed as 1st December. To my eyes, this is either a mistake or the opening of the Beta. Clarification?

This has been changed, thank you for the heads up!

No problem, got my hopes up a little bit, but I knew it couldn't be true

I find it interesting that most (but not all) of the Premium Themes do not display the system requirements listed on the product purchase page.

For example here is Koi: https://store.stardock.com/product/ESD-SDD-W563 (system requirements are not listed)

but for Abracadabra: https://store.stardock.com/product/ESD-SDD-W276 (system requirements are listed)

I know that most people will be coming from Stardock.com where the system requirements are indeed listed, but it would not hurt to list them any time there is a  "Buy Now" button, or at least be consistent.

By the way, in "my account", can you add a button "merge account"... i have a account for the retail sins and a account for all sins expansion and galciv ( online purchase )... will be great if we can somehow change some of our data... by example, when i begin to receive to much spam in my mailbox, i simply create a new one and delete the old one... will be great if we can change our e-mail address ( used for loggin )

Cool but can you back up files this time like Steam? Also is there a client?
Yes and soon.

On Object desktop subscriptions- if you let them expire, can you re-download what you bought earlier even if it's after the date?
No.  And you never will.  If you purchase a stand-alone application that version will always be available to you.  If you subscribe to ODNT, after you subscription is over, no version of your apps will be available unless you re-subscribe.

Much of the current data is from the old, less visible store, but should be updated over time.

And looks awesome and very good on the usability side :)

Why is it stuff like this is always announced when I'm in the pub getting wasted?

And who the heck is Skittles? Where did she come from?

I'm going to bed now to sleep off my drunken stupor (and probably dream about Skittles). Wake me if there are any more announcements...

On the other hand, I'm probably at my best unconscious ;)

/me goes and uninstalls GameStop

I don't know what happened with impulse after it became GameStop, but every time I ran it I ended up with a HUGE cursor afterwords! No joke....the thing was like 5 times bigger after running GS. Only a reboot would fix it.....glad to be rid of it  x_x

Really like the new store.  Somebody finally understands that functionality beats glitz every time.

Too basic and plain for my tastes (as someone called it Metro, yuck). To be fair, I honestly don't remember what it looked like before though. The premium themes section should *really* show a preview when you expand the list, instead of having to click on every single one of them to see what it looks like. Very inefficient and time consuming.

Speaking of Koi (and the others) it looks like the bigger preview is of 7, but none of the expandable full-size shots show the theme on 7.

Works well, clean and easy to use.  Guess everything Stardock is updating will look Metro'ish now.

As I think I mentioned earlier, this store is not the prime shopping site.  That would still be the product pages likke https://www.stardock.com/products/themes/suites/inspired/koi

The download  should be at the very bottom . . in the wincustomize section.  Where on the orders page . . dunno.  I'll poke someone tomorrow to see if we can find it.

EDIT: If you used a different address when you purchased Alpine, send me a PM with that address.

WHICH programs are safe to download?

We really need more info on this.

After the incident with the WB update borking my PC and a few others having the same issue, I hoped when things were updated we would get something a little better than that. I realize the client is in the works, but there needs to be more info and/or instructions so folks don't go through what some of us already have.

I would think that would be a no brainer. It makes you guys look bad when that kind of stuff happens.

Stardock releases are doing a great job of filling the gap between holidays. I just might make to my Christmas sweater party in one piece.  :waaaa:
