Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

If you're running Windows 7 no. It is not compatible with Win 7.
At the moment the only way to change bootscreen in Win7 is a tricky and not so safe registry manipulation. Of course is strongly reccomended not to do it, unless you know in a VERY DETAILED WAY what changes you have to do in your specific O. S.
Of course some progs or utility to change boot in Win7 will be released; just have to wait for some time.
Someone has tried this :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background\
Dword = OEMBackground = 1
Rename your Picture : backgroundDefault.jpg
Put it inside
c:\windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds
((overwriting the existing one ))
But it didn't work with me .....
Anyone 'messing' with the registry to change a bootscreen will likely be out of luck if not 'just' out of their depth.
I'd strongly suggest NOT trying...;)
Throw a brick at it. Easiest way to change the bootscreen.
Just for Tip : You can recover you Registy ( As I did) by running ERDNT ( just run the .exe)
from the safe mod
Anyone want to try this ( but be carefull)

Here's the rub....
How to spot spam.....
Step 1 ...find a new/recent member.
Step 2 ...does he post a query and then subsequently link to solutions himself?
3. ...does he do a convincing "lemming" impression"?
Does self-destruct mean anything. If it isn't compatible why play in the registry? Is changing the Bootscreen or the desire to do so that great? not to me. IMHO
If I found a solution ; should I post it here ?
If it comprises the retail purchase of off-site software then it will oh-so-closely resemble 'spam' that just 'may' imperil your future here...;)
There's no such thing. *listen* to Jafo.
This use to work, the background image that you change needs to be the same size as the one you are overwriting...(ex:1024 x 768)
If on a 64bit OS, it may need to be changed in the SysWOW64 also. (not sure though)

It seems to be a lot of trouble, especially with the links and solutions proposed. I am with Jafo on this %100. I would steer away from playing with the registry file. Yes you can backup the registry and try to restore it after. I only have one question, WHY?
