Seeing it tomorrrow..;)

I'll wait until it comes out on DVD... I hate going to cinemas... never enough leg room and I can never get comfortable in those poky little (yeah, I got a big arse) seats.  When you've got arthritis and associated muscular issues like I have, comfort is imperative to one's enjoyment of a movie, and cinemas, while they've improved out of sight compared to my wikkid teen years, just do not provide a comfort level essential to my viewing pleasure.

I've seen a couple of Predators on TV, however, and it looks like a must see for me... I like Lawrence Fishbourne as an actor, so even more-so. 

Thanks for the heads up, Ravo.... now 'tis definitely marked on my to-do list.

While we are at it...almost everyone hated the AvP & AvP 2. movies, and I don't understand that why... I really liked those movies as well.

And he gets that reimbursed as "Continuing Admin Education" expenses to boot!

I loved the original *Predator*, maybe I'll see this one too.  Watched the movie *300* last night...also very good!!

300 is my favourite movie. It's just simply awesome! THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAA!

So many good movies... not enough time (or money) to sit and watch them all.   Fortunately, for me, Hollywood has been putting out a load of crap of late, well since the WFC hit, so it gives me some time to catch up on stuff I either missed or couldn't afford at the time... what with many top line movie DVD's receiving quite generous store discounts of late.  On that basis, then, I'll be waiting a few months to buy Predators... by which time Predators 2, 3 and 4 will have been released.

I recently bought and finished watching Sanctuary seasons 1 and  2 with Amanda Tapping on DVD. Now there's an entertaining show with a difference... I thoroughly recommend it if you're into sci-fi with a twist.  Next up is Earth 2... catching up cos I missed a few episodes... not to mention that my sister picked up a near new copy dirt cheap at a garage sale for me for 2 bucks.

You know, Tormy, I did too . I thought they kicked ass. I think the reason a lot of people didn't like them was because they didn't even try to stick with the source material which in those cases was the "Aliens Vs Predator" Comic Books. They were doing AvP in the comics almost 10 years before they ever got it together and decided to make a movie. The AvP comics, the original runs of them, were totally awesome and had the two races going to war in the "Aliens" Timeline we see in the "Alien" movies with Sigourney Weaver. They showed the Predator homeworld a Lot more then we've ever seen in any of the movies. Also the Predators often talk to each other and about their culture which so far we haven't seen in any of the movies.

Another Awesome comic book run was the "Bat-Man Vs Predator" series which they've done two of so far. I have the original printings of both runs in my collection. I wish they'd do a Bat-Man vs Predator movie. I think it would be HUGE in the Box Office if they did it right.

I think I'm missing the joke here Doc ? Do you not like the Predator movies?

I sure hope so Definitely wide open for one. I'm sure that will come down to how much money this one makes.

Something I was thinking about...  King Leonidas  and his Queen were not so smart of people perhaps. Based on the Leonidas' dealings with the hunchback....I think Leonidas should have known that the hunchback would take rejection very badly. And the Queen should have known, that giving that creep Theron what he wants, being a liar and traitor, he would not keep his word .

I disagree with the hunchback(Ephialtes) theory, I mean Leonidas gave him a job, to help clear the bodies and give the men food ect, that should have been an honour for him....but he wanted to be nothing but a fighter, and he would have been the weak link, and they couldnt afford weak links...especially the way they fought...

I dont think the queen should have let theron have his way with her either, as soon as he said what he wanted she just should have told him to

Have you seen what they did to Blazing Saddles? It came on the tube the other day and it was cut up so badly, none of the jokes made sense.

Yeah, it's bloody sacrilege... wot they're doing to the old classics.  And wots this covering up the titties bit in Young Frankenstein?  Yeah, the black and white boobies were blotted out for TV with that foggy crap they use to cover rude bits.   Never used to be, not when I was first aired.  Don't remember 'em hurting my kids any... "Oh look, tits!" and that was the end of it.   I mean, geez, what are people breeding these days... that big brother has to protect their offspring with all kinds of ridiculous censorship??  Yeah well bugger it, I'm still gonna tell my grandkids about Humpty Dumpty and the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.

I can't wait to see it, heard it is very good!
