Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking on Fancast

This will blow your mind.

So I'm sitting here catching up on some TV shows I missed by watching them on Fancast (a perfectly Legal Site and sister site to Hulu) . I caught this show with Stephen Hawking. They have 3 episodes of it up hosted by PBS. The "Time Travel" episode is pretty awesome, as is his thoughts on Aliens.

Honestly, I consider Stephen Hawking to be the smartest man currently on the face of the planet. He figured out that Black Holes existed long before we were able to prove he was right, and now we know for a Fact that there is a Massive Black Hole in the center of our Milky Way Galaxy (how did J-Lo get way out there? LoL)

Anyway, you can watch these 3 episodes Here. You don't have to register on the site or anything, it's Completely Free and LEGAL. Again, I can't stress that last part enough. Fancast is a Legal Web sit and the shows are licensed and paid for by the original broadcasters. It's NOT some pirate site that hosts ripped TV shows.

I watched all 3 episodes hosted and they really, Really, make you think. Not to mention everything he talks about is backed up by what we currently know as scientific Fact. Check it out if you have some time to kill and like to think.

He's spot on the money with his theory. The latest information they have brought to date about particles escaping a black hole is again correct. Aside from the Black hole seeding galaxies they can also seed universes. Amazing to be part of the internet at such a crucial point in history. Where the entire planet comes togeather to further our knowledge of the universe and nature. Highly recommend reading/watching any if not all of this mans theories. Einstein wasn't perfect either as he failed to finish many of his theories without quantum mechanics. The Hadron Super Colider will help prove some of these theories in future experiments. Einstein had to do it all by himself but today we have the world at our fingertips.

I was commenting on his "Aliens" theory...to be honest, I doubt that the human race will get in contact with intelligent alien races. There must be lot of advanced alien civilizations in our galaxy, or in other galaxies. [Just think about the number systems, galaxies & planets...not to mention that only carbon based lifeforms can exist?] This means, that even the technologically advanced alien civs weren't able to solve the "huge distances between systems & galaxies" problem.

That is entirely possible however there could be many many other reasons we haven't seen other intelligent life.

Like the fact that maybe they're so smart they decided to stay Away From Us!!!!

Think about. Even if our closest Star is habited by intelligent life. At this point our broadcast waves, TV, Radio, etc etc, from 40 years ago are Just Not Reaching them. So what are they seeing right now? B Movies from the 50's and 60's, other Horror movies, etc etc. Now Imagine our culture is so "alien" to them that they don't know what to make out of what they are seeing?

Two Aliens talking to each other: Alien 1 = Quaznort. Alien 2 = Gragmits

Quaznort: "Hello Gragmits, what are we doing today? Studdying more signals from that backwater little world we found?

Gragmits: "Yes oh wise Quaznort. For some reason these Humans make a broadcast every time something happens to one of them or even when they are in the middle of wars or invasions."

Quaznort: "And what have we learned today? Is it wise to start sending the invasion fleets?"

Gragmits: Oh NO most noble Quaznort, we must in fact NEVER invade this Earth place. I believe we should STAY AWAY from these Humans until we have no choice but to communicate with them if they find us and come here."

Quaznort: "Why is this, Gragmits?"

Gragmits: "These Humans, even though they are fragile as a solitary being, together they are powerful and almost undefeatable. Also, some among them have what they call "Super Powers", like this "Super-Man" for instance. Look at this footage. These other humans bow to him because nothing they have on the planet can stop him. Though because these Humans still cling to quaint ideas like Right and Wrong and Good and Evil this Super-Man has decided to protect them instead of just conquer them. Other species have tried invasions only to be killed by the toxic environment and some powerful biological weapon the humans call a "cold". Look at this footage called "War of the Worlds". The neighboring Martians tried to invade Earth multiple times and were beaten back every time. When we scan for life on the planet Mars all we see is a barren wasteland. This leads us to conclude that not only did the Humans destroy the martians but they then somehow wiped out all life on the planet Mars to guard against future invasions."

Quaznort: "That settles it then. Inform the other intelligent life forms in our sector of the Galaxy. NO CONTACT what-so-ever is to be made with these Humans. They are far too violent and militant. They would only try to destroy us as they seem to do to any other foreign life that goes near their planet. Interstellar quarantine of Earth is NOW in EFFECT."

..

So, if Alien life is out there and they have been studying us through our broadcasts they could have decided long ago to leave us alone and never come say "hi". They might not understand that most of the broadcasts they are seeing are what we call "Entertainment". They might think it's real. How do we know? We don't.
