We just got back from the road trip of a lifetime......left on the 17th went to Chatanooga for a day and then planned to go to Niagara Falls.......keep in mind we're both native Floridians.
Watched the weather and knew we'd never make NY so we went east instead.......tried to get over the mountains into North Carolina.......thank god for 4 wheel drive.......drove right into the blizzard of 2009.

after these I was to busy driving and dodging fallen trees (when I could) to take any more pictures....ended up having to backtrack several times and what should've been a 3 hour drive to Asheville took closer to 9 hours. Interstate 40 was closed.

THAT does not look like it's fun to drive through! Thanks for the pictures, though...sitting all comfy here in my office chair, the snow is beautiful! Being as I grew up in Wisconsin, I know it's nasty to have that stuff crammed down your neck! (....older brothers...what jerks!)
