People are fleeing Demigod in droves. I currently see 25 games in progress.
I suspect that the connectivity issue isn't the only reason.
Stardock made it clear that demigod is basically unmoddable (in the sense of creating new maps and DGs) unless you happen to own a $12,500 software (granny 3d).
Reaction time regarding easily fixable bugs (Sedna's Healing Wind required the change of one number in a lua script) is counted in quartals.
Zero feedback from the developers - only the publisher shows up to calm the fans down.
At least the two new Demigods will show up soon ... or so they claim. No new maps. And Frogboy made it clear that development of new content is too expensive to make it available for free. And unless Demigod miraculously gains hordes of new players it won't be economically justifiable to make new ones.
Too bad ... I'd never have imagined that having a state-of-the-art engine can actually be a drawback. I guess that happens if you don't plan on modding from the beginning.
