Well, Just encounted my first DOTA F***** Today. The kind of person that just talks crap the whole time who is on YOUR TEAM. Makes me want to break peoples jaws...

Until recently I'd had good luck with teamates/opponents. The last few nights though I've run into people determined to piss and moan about everything. Started looking forward to an all AI team in pantheon just for the peace and quiet.
I remember playing a game with someone named Jdub on game ranger near release time and all you could do is call me a n***** every time I killed you. gg.

Was just frustrated. I found it rather strange that my own team mate was the one talking crap.
Reminded me of when I played dota. Hence the DoTa 'retard' in comparison to the actions of people who partake in that.
Never used game ranger, so that wasn't me.

Not all of course, but yes there is a huge elitest mentality on Dota that is rather rediculous.

Kyro, thank you for your semi-moderating of these forums. It is much appreciated (seriously). But, do you have any idea what reputation these forums are getting by the outragous derogatory comments that you guys give "shoulder shrugs" to? I know that you want to allow "free speech" ect, and that your main job is not to "moderate" forums, but, come one, if that was a black/jewish\women comment, you would have banned the guy for sure, But it's just about "gays" right, so no big deal, so here's our oblibitory verbal slap on the wrist. It's has nothing to do with blacks, jews, or women, it's just "faggots" so no big deal . . .
I agree with PurplePaladin.
As a gay man myself and as a loyal Stardock fan for years, I too am getting sick of this community and I am sick of the moderators standing by whilst such posts go unchecked. I have already returned my copy of Demigod for a refund mostly due to this community, both in game and out, not because I am impatient for updates to make the game work correctly.
I realize that policing forums is a challenge, but I fear that it's precisely this "community" that will limit sales of this game.
