Different install directory

How do you get a game to install in other than the C:Programs Directory

Ok I have clicked the Impulse Icon in the top left of the screen and changed the preferences install location to my Games partition. However, the games still download and install into C:program files. How do you force Impulse to stop using the C drive as the install location???

You have three different software types, and you can choose one distinct install location for each type:

- My Desktop

- My Games

- My Tools

Did you choose the appropriate type of software first and then clicked on "Change..."?

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Yep. It shows the correct path but still downloads to the C:program files directory. I have install Sins 3 times now to see if it works but no good. Must be doing something wrong???

Is that happening to just Sins or every other Impulse game as well? If Sins wasn't completely uninstalled in the first place, Impulse might still remember the original location.

If you haven't done it already, better contact [email protected]

Have you tried "Prompt for install directory" to see if it supersedes that faulty install location?

Thanks for the help.

I Reset Data for Impulse Options and it is now downloading to my preferred directory.

Congrats.  :)
