That ship is the Predator's face EXACTLY. How's designing these things?.... If Vasari and Advent are humanoids , dont these things need windows and doors? Call me old fashioned but I like my ship's to look like .....ships.

Even frigates and cruisers are very large ships, but if you look closely you'll see the many little windows and openings. This particular ship is Vasari.  Their design standards evolved very differently from those of the TEC and Advent due to their uniquely transient history and cultural influences.

Love the game btw. Yes I do play tec only...Us against them kinda thing.

But I do feel that the frigates and cruisers in all races are larger than they should be. Cap ships should be huge next to these, flak frigs is about the right size. All it would take is an extra zoom to see the details you would lose with the smaller model.

so break it down for me, this was probably posted above and I didn't get it. If you have already pre-ordered, you don't have access to the beta because it hasnt been relesed yet. And there is no set date to relese the beta yet. but the final version comes out in january?

There's no set date for the final either. The January 1st date in the store is just a placeholder. The actual release date will depend on how the beta goes

I'm waiting for another good coupon to pick up the entrenchment beta.  $8 sounds like the magic # for me, not that $10 is too much, but this is my way of offsetting the fact that there still is little to no multi-core support.

Lucky, you have break already.  We have finals next week at my college so I'm stuck until Saturday here...!!!!

And P.S. Maybe if the beta comes out it will keep my occupied during finals week when I have nothing to do.  Or it will just make me fail the two finals I have...

We have seen the Vasari and TEC starbases just give us a screen of the Advent Starbase and we can try to be quiet for a week.....maybe.

I think its funny that X-play awarded Sins best strategy game award, and since everybody has been using screenshots form the X-play presentation.   The thing is, they didn't play regular Sins.  They played entrenchment (which isn't out yet).

So the best RTS game of 2008 isn't out yet.

Lucky SOB -- my break doesn't start untill after my final final, Thursday evening (who the hell came up with the idea of doing a final in the 6-8 timeslot, when the class runs from 3:30-5:00?)!  At least I get tomorrow (wednesday) off from work *and* school though!
