A couple of Q's about Space Rangers 2 Reboot

Hey all, I posted this in the Impulse support forum, but figured I'd try here--not sure if this subforum is only for Stardock-developed games?:
Just want to confirm a couple of things regarding the Space Rangers 2 expansion:
1) Will it install fine over the UK import DVD release of SR2? (NOTE: I live in the USA, but bought it at Fry's about a year before it was released by a U.S. publisher).
2) Will installing the expansion remove the need for the Starforce drivers to be installed on my PC?
