Right Click Configuration

System Tray does not expand

Hi,

This is more of a question than anything else. I have enabled Right Click, specifically by a hot key combination and so far, if I add System Tray to the menu, the System Tray fails to appear in the Right Click Menu, and it does not expand when I configured it to do so. The menu seems to work well otherwise. If someone could help me configure the System Tray under Right Click or give me another option on how to do that as there are too many icons in the System Tray, I'd be most appreciative. I tried PC Mag's: TrayManager 3 but it just crashes explorer so that's a no-go until they fix it. My guess is there is something in Object Desktop that not only does that, but does it better anyway! :-)

Thanks!

I believe that function requires Stardock MCP installed and running.

You can get it here:  http://tinyurl.com/qa7kf

Thanks Zubaz! Downloaded, Installed, and we'll see how it goes! :-)All in all, I have to say that Stardock's software makes life better, that's for sure. (I hope I just didn't jinx XP by typing this. LOL)

Ok, I have an update. I restarted the Computer and while it did save part of my RightClick Menu, it lost the System commmands such as restart and shutdown. These were at the bottom of the menu so perhaps there is a limit as to how many items can be on a right click menu at any given time. Also, the Show Clipboard item fails to display the clipboard, all in all not "that" big a deal, just a fyi.

no...there's no limit. RightClick has some problems at the moment. One of those problems is that the listings in the menu can disappear.

The way around that is to fix up the whole thing the way you want and then close right click. In the right click folder, copy the desktopmenu.obbar to somewhere else. The next time your menu takes a dump, close RightClick and copy your backup into the RightClick folder.

Stardock is planning on fixing all the problems, it's just that RC isn't up very high on their priority list right now.
