Many of you have probably tried Coke C2.  I was impressed with C2, so I decided to try Pepsi Edge, which is Pepsi's low calorie cola.

Let me tell you this- they are not the same.  If you like diet Pepsi and just want it a little sweeter, Edge is for you.  If you are expecting the same results that C2 has, you will be disappointed.  It does not taste like regular Pepsi at all.  It tastes like sweetened Diet Pepsi.

On another note: how many different kinds of Pepsi can there be?  This is what you have to choose from:
Pepsi
Pepsi Edge
Pepsi One
Diet Pepsi
Pepsi Vanilla
Diet Pepsi Vanilla
Pepsi Twist
Diet Pepsi Twist
Wild Cherry Pepsi
Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi

OK, "Pepsi" seems like a really weird word now after typing it so much LOL

I've tried the Edge and I liked it. Maybe even a little better than the C2, but then I'm a Pepsi fan anyway. It seemed just about right in terms of taste.

Pepsi One - No reason for this product -- another sweetener ?
Pepsi Edge - Let's phase out straight Pepsi and leave this one.
Diet Pepsi - Caffeine free version rocks. This is the ultimate no cal, no carb, no caffeine soft drink.
Pepsi Vanilla - have to have a competitor to vanilla coke
Wild Cherry Pepsi - Very good. Local Taco Bell has it on tap.

Well, I haven't had the C2, because I don't drink Coke or its varieties....and I have a coupon coming to me for a free 2 liter of Edge, so I'll try that when I get the coupon.

As for the other varieties, I tend to drink Twist, Vanilla and Wild Cherry.....almost never drink straight Pepsi any more.

And that Pepsi Clear stuff was like drinking turpentine.....ICK....and yet my kids liked it...go figure, huh?

So, what is left?  Carbonated water and chemicals? 

I don't drink Pepsi much, so that might be why it tastes more "off" than C2 does, I'm not sure.  Of course, I really don't drink much soda anyway, so none of it will have any impact on my life

I'm a strange one.  I like Diet Pepsi better than Diet Coke but like regular Coke better than regular Pepsi.  That is why I have tried C2 but have no desire to try Pepsi Edge.


Clear Pepsi was just weird!  I remember SNL making fun of it with a spoof commercial for Clear gravy.........ewwwwwwwwwww!

You're right about Pepsi looking weird, now! I love pop, but prefer Coke over Pepsi. Diet beverages scare me. I'd rather just have water.

I only drink regular Pepsi and Wild Cherry Pepsi. I can't stand those "diet" sodas.

I don't like Pepsi very much. I think it's too sweet. Although out of the classic choice, I like to have Vanilla Coke. When I tried it, I thought I wouldn't like it. However, the little bit of vanilla added to it gave the taste a bit of a lift.

Yep.  There *was*.  It was some sort of fruit punch + Pepsi mix.  Didn't last long, and I don't think it ever even made it into cans.

Sorry to bring people down, but it's important to know about the companies that you support.

You probably should grow your own food and make your own clothes and everything since all businesses have something that happens that is "wrong".  You can't run a huge business without something happening.  Of course, i think blaming Coca-Cola for *Union* issues is a bit of a stretch.  Here's a news flash for you- if it were up to the major corporations to decide, there wouldn't be unions since they interfere with the freedom to do business as the corporation wishes.  So, if Coke was in charge, there wouldn't be a Union and therefore there wouldn't be the deaths.

If you refuse to see Coke's *collaboration* with paramilitary terrorists and unionbusters, then please understand that inaction says as much about the company as action.
