game locking up

HI!

I'm really loving the heck out of this game. BUT, it seems that sometimes, while I'm playing, the turn won't finish. I wait and wait and wait, and then sometimes, I get an update or an event, and that's fine. But sooner or later, things just seem to end up that no matter what I do, the turn won't end, and I can't continue the game.

I've looked throught the manual, I've tried all sorts of things, but I can't get past this. I'm running Windows Me with the latest video card updates. I'm running Gal civ with the latest updates from Stardock, and the little mods from the Library---including Frogboy.

For gods sake someone help me. I'm having a hard enough (if enjoyable time) playing the game without the computer universe conspiring against me. Anyone else having this problem?

It could be you clicked the turn button whilst other screens (planetary, research) still await your confirmation for the next action (like what to build next or what to research next). If you have closed all screens it should work.

For your input. I thought of that myself. But whatever it is, simply won't make itself known. I've tried searching through the ships, and the screens for each planet, research, etc. Still can't seem to find out what's holding things up. All I know is that the turn never ends.
