Seeking: Your Vision of "Winky"

How do you see our lovable mascot?

Every day.  Day-in and day-out I see the same smiling lizard staring at me, giving me that thumbs up and leaning casually against something.  He's at the top of the page, he's in my news posts, he's everwhere!  He's driving me mad!

Here's what I want.  I need some more variations of Winky to use in news posts and articles here on WinCustomize.  You've seen a few variations here and there such as Winky Wearing Headphones, Winky Holding Court, or Winky Wins a Medal.  And while those are very nice, I want a little bit more variety to choose from.

So I turn to you, the community, for some new takes on our old friend.  Here are some ideas to start everyone off.  You're in no way limited to these, this is just to get your creative juices flowing

Halloween Winky Thanksgiving Winky Christmas Winky
Winky the Reporter Techno Winky Pirate Winky
Nerdy Winky Teacher Winky Angry Winky
 
Once you've put together your Winky Masterpiece, post a picture in the comment section of this post.  Depending on how many we get, I may run a poll or two to find the most popular to use on the site.
 
Make the Winkys such that they can be easily scaled to 128x128px without being distorted.
 
I'm looking forward to what everyone comes up with!

Now there is a good idea for the NEW Wincustomize.

I thought of that also and tried a few smilies back when the smilies comp was on, but with a limited canvas of 24x24 pixels it's not easy at all to keep Winky's likeness and add expression, so they didn't turn out very well at all.

In any case, the yellow smiley has a long and interesting history and is accepted and easily recognized.  :grin:

It'd be interesting to see some attemps at this though.  Might be an idea for another competion at some stage down the line.  :-"
