Me too!!!!!

When i got best planet (31 class). Later on, people on that planet became more evil.. Senate on Earth strongly suggested me that i should abandon that planet. I thought it is so nut, you know I got best planet (31 class!!!). So, I ingore it... after few turn later, I lost my best planet by my own people name is Draqinol tookover. They suddenly got dozen powerful ships after few turn. They decided to wipe entire civilazations in full galaxy! They easily destroyed my fully upgraded starbase(must be powerful starbase ever i created) with their single powerful ship?!?! So, another 3 civilazation died quickly after few turn. So, Torion had 1 planet and i got 2 planet. So, These bastard destroyed my planet and Torion's one then, mine.. game over.. I think it is silly that minor civilization took over entire galaxy?!?! huh?

Do you have this experience before? How can you stop that happen? So, I should fellow and listen the senate or council's advice??

Thanx!

The best way to handle these guys are to wipe them out as soon as you hear about them.

how do you wipe them out? I invaded their capital planet (which was one of my planets)...can you eliminate the threat before they actually take over the planet?

After i successfully invaded their planet, they were eliminated from the game...but good God....that was pretty...well, intense....

I never really fully recovered from that ordeal either....

It usually happens to me later in the game, once you get the warning start building a pretty massive fleet as those ships are a royal pain in the rear to destroy without Antimatter Missiles. It's a good way to take out all your old and nearly useless ships though. :)

Stack up your invasion fleet next to the planet and take them out on the same turn they show up. Be prepared for a costly invasion, but it makes it easier if you build, buy if needed, your combat transports from the target system, then you have less population to conquer when it comes to crunch time. ;)

If I sdee a New Alert growing Evil on System XXX and it is one of my planets the easy thing to do is build some transports, remove the population and move your fleet to attack this System.

When the Draginol take over it would be easy to take the system back.

Easiest solution is to destroy colony on the planet in question! Very nasty, but not as nasty as the consequences.

1. Build transports invade the planet as soon as it is taken over...

2. Leave the colony

3. If you love to fight and your military is doing nothing only drinking awy their money ... Well do nothing and observe when the warning pops up.

This method of ending the invasion before it happens is painful, but works without any chance of loss that I've seen.

1) build a colony ship.
2) load your entire population into the colony ship and launch it.
3) destry the colony (the Destroy button is on the planetary Details screen).
4) wait until after the evil would have arrived (best guess, err on the conservative side).
5) land back on the planet

This event just sucks. I took out HALF of my planets (I had 4 heavily colonized planets in the system it took over, small map).

I was running a close 2nd or 3rd in the galaxy, slowly taking over via culture. I wasn't real teched out far enough to deal with this even (no one was).

Just destroy the whole board. Completely ruined a good game I'd spend many hours on. >:(

It seems to me that from reading the boards these random events produce way too powerful of enemies. Unless you pull some sort of cheese tactic, this event ruines games if your not already flat out dominating everybody. Needs to be balanced out.

Actually this is one of the easiest unbalanced events to win against. You just have to head the warning and do what the posters above said. The second time it happened to me, I made sure there was a terror star waiting by the side of the planet.... ;)

If it happens late enough game I will often write off the planet and buy myself peace with them. Can usually still pull a win doing so.

They took me completely by surprise when i first encountered them so I tried out a defnesive strategy when I realized I stood no chance against their ships:

Pull my entire fleet into my planets to defend them.
Let the Draginol come to me.
Watch as they wipe out all of my ships defending my planets.
Watch their ships slowly get destroyed (like 1 for every 10 of mine).
Eventually they'll tried to invade an undefended planet and die trying.
I kept an eye on their home planet's population - once it dropped to a few million I quickly pounced on them.
End of threat.
