my dream just came true!

what are those four objects on the planet all connected by glowing beams?

I think those are defensive measures. I've seen them in other shots, always around planets.

but wow... AWESOME!!!

ya it looks like it has SHIELDS!

also..... I don't like the TEC ships in yellow, BLUE FTW!

and...... damn whatever is hitting that ships shields must be powerful, look at the size of that beam!

Those are space elevators. They haul goods from the planet into orbit and vice-versa.

Holly Smokes, am i seeing a wormhole?

details is what a game is all about evolving from pingpong to mariobros and beyond.

amazing snapshots, i'd hate to be on that beams way when its fired upon my ship.

all i have to do know is try to make sure i stay alive for the release date! i think i'll save the surprise on the final official game when its all furbished and done. really i can't wait for this to come out.

I was wondering what you meant, but then there I see it! Could it really be? Theres definitely some grey clouds that are not background sprites ,though the yellow flashes seem a bit too yellow for a wormhole splash..might be wrong

i am interested in angle the picture seems to be taken at will we really be able to orient the camera like that. if so will we be able to orient our ships in any directing not just different levels.

but i am loving the way things are looking.

Very nice. Makes you wonder what's just off-screen.

I don't think its a wormhole... I think its just beam refraction off the shields...

no, sorry if i was misunderstood i wasn't talking about that thing above the ship. i was referring to orientation of the camera taking the screen shot everything appears to be pointed up an to the left not level to the camera.

I think its done for dramatic effect... its makes it look more 3D, lol...

hey look, theres a storm headed towards my girlfriends pad. i need to call her up and tell her to put the chikens in the barn and close up all the windows and shelter up. LoL! oh man, wouldn't be neat to have a realtime weathering phenomena accuring on your home planet? i mean like for instant like tsunami events or major earthquakes and or sun burst from the solars sun flares . that would really rock

I think the weapon effects are getting better, judging by the rather large beam in the screenshot. Not sure what the deal is with that flare right above the beam though. Didn't notice the shield until someone pointed it out, either.

The capital ship (that's being fired on) probably hadn't gone through any changes since the last screenshot (at least, not to my knowledge), but it's good as is. Can't make out any of the other ships.

Judgeing by the orientation (of ships in all the shots so far), I must sadly conclude that the ships reorientate themselves.

The background is, as always, exceptional.

Lighting is still poor though; I would like to see a large lens flare effect or similar when looking into that sun. Not sure why but the light on the capital ships seem reversed. The capital ship infront seems to be illuminated on the side that is not facing the sun.

You guys still got some work to do.

PS. I also think the planets look a little flat, but those are hard to create in and of themselves.

i think the sun is in the background and it looks sorta cloudy (space clouds?) so the sun isn't blaring right through...

I think the planets look GREAT!

yep I think so toooo!

Nothing wrong with ships reorientating themselves imo , id throw a bit of realism out of the window anyday just to make it easier on the brain to orientate yourself with whats going on.

tnx for not disorienting me p5y. i thought i'd be walking upside down after your oriented post .

LoL! umm... i think space has some type of ionic weathered storm somewhere out there upon those thick clustered nebulae that might frictionate few ionic charged dust's cloud nebulas as seen on earth?
