Gentleman Get a Clue

How to make yourselves more marketable

Learn how to dance! I mean actual ballroom dance.

I was just showing the documentary "Mad Hot Ballroom" to my music students. It's a fun film about New York City kids learning ballroom dance as part of their music and PE curriculum. They go on to participate in city-wide competition. Seeing the kids turn from being jaded street wise and at-risk into graceful, joyful ladies and gnetleman was really delightful.

Richard Gere in Shall We Dance. Antonio Banderas in Take the Lead. I'm telling you, that's a good day!
Fellas, If you only knew how many points knowing how to dance is worth on the romance-o-meter.

Women love to dance. We love men who know how to dance, how to take charge and lead firmly and tenderly.

Guys! Sign up for dance lessons! Your sweetie will love you for it. If you're single, it will make you so much more marketable. Believe me!

Some of us are, umm, how you say....coordinationally challenged?

But I'd wager you're right about it increasing the marketability for single guys. Even if the women they desire don't dance, the regular exercise will make them more fit and more marketable in that regard. Excellent advice!

And not bad advice for older married guys looking to "put the spark back".

YES YES YES!!!!!

Dancing is ALMOST a pre-requisite for me to date a guy. If he doesn't than he must at least be willing to learn.

I took some salsa and mambo lessons a few years back. I'll admit that I wasn't very good at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. The classes and the dancing were fun, but I can't say that I made any impression on the ladies.

I'd like to explore dance further. Maybe come this fall I will give it another try.

I was a darned good dancer before I busted my hip. Ballroom, swing, Tango, I could even manage a pretty mean two step.
