I'm using Stardock's Start8 to give me back the start button. I'm also using Virtual CD v10 - maybe it does something to explorer since it adds extra options to the right click menu for drive icons. As for Antivirus I'm using Eset 6. Originally I was unable to get WindowBlinds to start but your fix to the settings for wbcore.exe fixed that problem. I found I also had to exclude taskmgr from WindowsBlinds if I wanted it to appear. The UAC popup window also wouldn't appear.
You are not using anything from Comodo too are you?
Mr Banfield,
Ive been using Comodo for years with no problems. They have the best Internet security out there.
I ran into problems with this Beta WB and Comodo, so I uninstalled Comodo I.S. and went to default windows 8 Defender security.
Windowblinds runs fine with it.
HOWEVER, I have now tried Panda Cloud I.S., Avast I.S. and Comodo I.S. ALL of them have problems with Windowblinds.
Hence this is a problem with Windowblinds, not with the security software being used. Fix your software please.
It's rather foolish to force a person to change antivirus software to "fit" your program. 3 out of 4 I've tested have had problems with Windowblinds. I think the faulty party is being presented here.
This is clearly a Stardock problem.
