Oooh...new system Boshmi!
Ok, here's the link to the Vasari wolfpack-style map. Debugged (and darn if GF didn't glitch the whole thing again but I fixed it).
I didn't have time for pretty planet names (darn...but later) and the pirate gauntlet may be a bit heavy (it can be altered after some play testing). My wife's not feeling well either (me either) but I should be on later.
The map description tells you all the main points for setup. The Vasari have the wormhole travel artifact on their HW's so you don't kill yourself by missing that research.
Vasari are like the poor Colonials in BSG...on the run, unsupported and desperately outnumbered. Your only hope is to eat enemy trade ships until you can begin a fleet and collaborate to survive.
The "Allied" players opposing the Vasari are behind a five system, reinforced pirate blockade and have only an asteroid for initial production. Fertile worlds--and the ability to wormhole travel lie on the far side of the pirates--if you can ever survive traveling through them.
Allies, you'll want that trade income so I wouldn't ditch your bases. All sides should beware dead-end systems that can be entered but never left. Scouting is essential. The crafty Vasari have mapped a plethora of sneaky wormhole routes to your outer colonies--be prepared for you built it and now they come. Get lucky and take out their caps early and it's game over. Build a fleet to pass the pirates and you're on your way to eliminating the Vasari scourge.
This map is all about effective use of assets...economic and military. It looks to be a long one so fast settings aren't discouraged.
Trade and pirate levels can be altered pending some play through and feedback and I'll have quick start options for the rework on it after.
Enjoy (hopefully)--I'll be there later tonight.
