Dozen turns to cure them? With the chalice it's almost instant, with GoH it's a couple turns (just for everyones knowledge, since I'm still willing to help with any questions).
Though you also need to Gift of Reason them, which is another 12N or something. They get summoned, they get GoRed, and that's 2 turns for them to have afflictions taken off. If you're lucky they are ready to go at that point. Usually it's 2-3 turns after you summon them though before they are useful.
Also should point out you need a D7 mage to summon them. Now D isn't that hard to bootstrap, but it's still expensive in gems to crank out the boosters for a D3 (pretty much minimum level you can go with). Not counting hammer bonus (remember ulm doesn't get death on their smiths) it's 35D for the two death boosters, and then 105S for the two rings. So clearly, having D4 helps, or more. Generally this will only happen on your pretender, though some nations can probably get D4 on national mages, but I don't recall at the moment who they are.
Also, louist, maybe you should have dispelled the MO or GoH instead of the Well, but knocking down the well was pretty annoying
I have to admit I was expecting someone to be there clamming. Caelum and Nief can do it with a little bit of work. Sauro should be able to do it easily. But it doesn't appear anyone is (Ulm can't do it for crap unless they luck into huge W income). Maybe some is though, just waiting for a chance to start wishing every turn. Though that's another pricy one, S9? Better have your pretender set up for it
