Unfortunatly, we've run into some issues and will have to post tomorrow (hopefully mid-day, if things go well the rest of tonight).

The big changes in 1.07 will be...
- performance boost (Q/A seeing a 15-ish FPS boost in apples-to-apples save comparisons)
- lots of memory fixes, including game-within-a-game and sound issues
- tweaked calculation of unit group battle stats (shouldn't be as powerful)
- grouped units save/load max HP info properly
- no more stacking of items for heroes (a quick fix while we compile a proper to-do list for improving champions)
- fix to the way roaming creatures level up to fix crazy-overpowered stats

 

Thanks man that's exactly what I was expecting as well from 1.07

 

I hope it goes live soon!

Working on the patch as we speak...the items holding us back...

- some of the memory fixes, alt-tab fixes have created timing issues with the portrait generator (random custom units having a black box for a portrait)
- shards randomly appearing on reload and on campaign maps
- got a saved game where 8 battles happen in a row, causing the popupmanager to get messed up...(not a showstopped, but something we'd liek to fix while the bug is reproducable)

I'll jump on IRC to keep the updates flowing

One of the big issues for me is the AI building illegally - ignoring food/gold when building cities/units.  Does that have to wait until Brad returns?

You're right. I guess making the game fun is pretty trivial. At least Civ 5 comes out soon

What would be the point of adding XYZ features, if the AI dosen't even try to win the game?

I mean seriously.

I'm not for them adding new stuff until the basics work. It's grand that music will now play in tactical map, but... yeah.. I said it already.

Sorry to sound rude but,

1)the game has problems. Many. We all know that by now and is quite useless to keep up talking so...

2)Don't you think it would be better to solve the more pressing issues? Adding more content would just add more problems atm, let the dev fix stability and more of the glaring issue...

Instead of EGALITARIAN trait, come on man...

 

It's just Prioritizing things you know.

Well, I picked it up on Amazon since it was already down to 45 bucks there, although my better sense told me to wait until it was 20 bucks based on the issues I have read about.  Trying to wait for 1.07 to come out before I try playing it though, as I figure that should increase the enjoyment quite a bit, I hope.  Come on 1.07.

I'm actually a Psychologyst in R/L, and to answer your previuous post, since I am already working on the mental stability of other peoples I can't be bothered to work on yours too... You know, just one thing at a time!
