This is my first time doing one of these, so here's hoping that I do it right.
Demigod: the Rat Keeper (Dark General)
Appearance: Even though the character is obviously human, he crawls along the ground as opposed to walking upright. his entire lower body is completely obscured by a tatered brown tail coat. He wears a large top hat that and his face is mostly conceled by a sweet moustach-beard combo. When stationary he outs his face down and covers his head with his arms, and when moving he reaches out with his unusually long arms.
Lore: His story starts in the industrious city of Veramur, a bustling haven of progression most often refered to as a "Hell hole". The town was overrun with the fathers, sons, daughters, mothers, and infants of many generations. It was in this town that one day a boy who would change everything was born. Now his birth was nothing special, another mouth to feed for another family, taking up space in another district of the obese city, but as he grew it was obvious that he wasn't normal.
The boy developed an affinity for all the animals of the town, which limited him to rats and mice. Everyday hordes of them would gather on his roof bearing gifts of dead birds, scraps of rotten bread, and spioled cheese, he accepted their offerings enthusiastically and in eturn he would mend their wounds and shelter them in a large coat that he found laying in a open grave, worn by some dead guy (seriously who buries a perfectly good coat). this reflected badly on his family becasue even though they didn't work, they were suspiciously well fed, so foul play was called and the residents of their street started to plot against them. So, in the dead of night, several townsfolk paid a visit to his house and as they entered his house they came to a startaling realization, he had moving floors.
The floor seemed to shift uneasily like water, but as one of the townsfolk lifted his torch it became apperant that the ground wasn't moving, it was covered from inch to inch with large rats.
"Hello? Who's there?" cried out the small boy. The leader of the attackers cleares his throat and says,
"H-hello son, is your mother home?"
"Uhhh, I think she's upstairs, but please be quiet, I think she's alseep." The boy then goes back to tending to a wounded rat. At this point several of the townsfolk have left, but the leader, we'll call him John, starts to move toward the stairs. He inches himself over the swarm, doing his best to avoid crushing them or harming them in any way. The stair way is clear of the dirty vermin so he climbs the steps at a brisk pace, and as he reaches the top of the steps, a vile stench hits his nose. He covers his mouth as he reaches the door at the top of the stairs, he braces himself and throws the door open. Inside he finds what very well could have been his mother; the remains of something that looks distinctly human but was still obviously not. She had a human form, two hands, feet, and a head, but the way they looked was different. her head was too pointy to be human, her feet were maleformed, with claws instead of toes. Patches of fur were growing on her body and her eyes were glassy and void of a pupil. John was lost as to what he should do, so he did what any good neighbore would do in that situation, he ignored it. After John and his mob left the house he ordered the house boarded up, it was to be watched at all the times, and if anything that wasn't a rat left the house it ws to be killed.
15 years passed before anybody saw the boy again. It was a rainy day when everything went to hell; as noon passed a man walked into a corner grocery store. the man at the register viewed a grown man, naked except for an old tailcoat. His face was obscured with hair and his body was obviously starved for food, he walked in as in a daze then looked toward the clerk,
"Can I have that hat?" He asked pointing at a top hat sitting atop a bust behind the clerk.
"It's not for sale." The clerk responded curtly. The man approached the counter as the clerk reached under his counter, gripping the handle of his pistol. The man then reached inside his coat, and as he went to pull his hand out, the clerk drew his pistol and shot him. The man staggered back, he drew his hand and revealed a fist clutching many smaller bills. His expression changed from indifferent to furious, he charged the clerk wrapping his hands around his throat. as his hands gripped harder, rats flooded from his sleaves, each one started to devour the clerk alive. After he had fed his pets he collected his hat and left the store.
Overtime he began claiming sections of the town for his rat farm, saying that anybody who enters is forfeiting their lives as humans, and accpeting a new career as rat chow. This conflict escalated until the residents could take no more of his crap and decided to attack him and his pets. The conflict lasted all of 2 days, within that time everything human was either eaten or diseased. The Rat Keeper claimed his position as king of the town, ruler of millions of rats, and it stayed that way, until...
Strengths: He passivly heals his minions, making them very durible. Swarmers who are excillent at taking out creeps and demigods with little armor.
Weakness: Moves slowly, only faster than Rook. Since him and his brethren were raised in a machine freindly environment, they are ill equiped to combat magical constructs, takes 10% more damage from base defenses.
Abilities:
Active:
1. My Friends...- Summon 1/2/3/4 Rat Swarms. These are very fast minions who do about 10-15 damage a hit but attack very quickly to compensate.
Lvl 15 Buff- they are hungry- The rats go into a feeding frenzy draining 10% of the damage they deal as health and slowing down targets they attack by 15% ( Subject to change).
2. Are you okay...- The Rat Keeper opens his coat and unleases a wave of rodents in a line in front of him dealing 100/200/300/400 to enemies in front of him and places a 5 second debuff called Rat Madness on all targets. If an enemy dies while afflicted with rat madnes it becomes a Wererat. Wererat are very weak but quick minions that die on their own after about 15 seconds.
Lvl 15 Buff- because you could be worst- Are you okay... now puts a damaging bleed on the target and increase the duration of the Wererats by 15 seconds.
3. So hungry- The Rat Keeper goes into a desparate state increasing movement speed by 10%/15%/20%/25% and make him immune to slow down ffects for 5/7/9/12 seconds.
4. Lvl 5 Skill- Sleepy- The Rat Keeper runs out of fuel and decides to nap for awhile recovering 10%/15%/20% of his health and mana. During this period the Rat King can be attacked and he is incapacitated for 5 seconds.
Passive:
1. When you hurt...- The Rat Keeper extends his compasion for his rats to all of his allies. He generates an aura that increases the Health Per Second of all creeps and allied minions by 3/6/9/12
Lvl 15 buff- I hurt too- The Rat Keepers minions have learned to sympathize with their master, 15% (sounds a bit high but for a lvl 15 skill i think it's fair) of the damage dealt to him is shared with his minions.
2. Hahaha, What Wererats?- Increase the duration of Wererats by 1/2/3/4 seconds and Rat Swarms now have a 5%/10%/15%/20% to apply the Rat Madness debuff.
3. Lvl 5 Skill- DON'T BUG ME!- If attacked while under the affects of Sleepy, the Rat Keeper will deal 400/800/1200 damage to each enemy that assaulted him upon waking.
Here's hoping you enjoy it.
