A list of certain things I would love to see make it in Demigod, I'll probably keep updating this. My mind runs rampant with ideas while I'm bored at work, and I love to share my ideas with the public. No I dont expect them to even look at these posts, I just like seeing the worlds opinion on my ideas.
Map Ideas: A summary for this, is a couple of maps I've thought up so far that adds a small twist in the game. Something a bit more then just kill the other side while trying to control the War Idol.
The Graveyard: A more open map then most, a large graveyard type of map, with a more then heavy fog of war then usual. Tomestones, and crypts are placed all over the place. A seperate island will be placed above the map, with 2 ramps on each side of it. There will be a building in the middle of this island, this building will be important for the battle.
When a Hero goes up to the building without its object being in play, a timer will be displayed. Within this time, skeleton warriors will be spawning consistantly throughout the timer, hostile to everything that is on the island. The Hero must survive the skeletons and enemy Heroes for the duration of the timer. Once the timer is done, the Hero will be bestowed with the Necromonicon (SP?). It doesnt take up space, but it does put a aura around the Hero.
Once the Hero has the book, all the Skeletons on the island ally with the side of the Hero with the book, and stay their. While the Hero has the book, all creeps that die, have a chance to rise as a skeleton warrior, and continue the path. Also, Crypts will randomly spawn a squad of Skeleton Warriors that will attack move towards the enemy base.
If the Hero dies, the book will reset in the building it started. Also, the book overloads, and all the crypts pour a couple of squads of Skeleton Warriors, that go into a frenzy and attack the nearest base and heroes.
Heavenly Gates: This map will be very narrow, almost like streets, that twist and turn all over the place. If its possible to have 3D maps, have the roads cross over and under, just twisting every possible way. In the middle of each road, there will be gates, and every 5 minutes, they will switch where they lead to. So you will always have to stay ontop of where which gates lead to keep a mind of where to go.
Every so often, a gate on each side will light up, and they will lead to an island in the middle of the map. All mobs will be redirected towards that gate, and a battle for a flag will begin. Whoever ends up controlling the flag, activates a huge holy explosion that deals massive amount of damage to creeps, pretty good damage to all heroes, and no damage to buildings, to everything on the map.
Heroes:
Death Knight: Summary about this, some ideas were taken from WOTLK, but I have been a fan of Death Knights and class's like this for years upon years. So please don't say it was an exact idea, just the more....frost stuff was thought of.
The Death Knight is a mixture between an Assassin and a General. It will have 2 moves that are more towards Assassin, and 2 moves more towards general. Because of this, the Death Knight's ability will take a bit more time to cast, thats his fault not being fully commited to direct magic and fighting.
Raise Skeletons: Rank 1: The Death Knight takes 8 seconds to summon 3 Skeletons that he can control, and they will fight by his side. Rank 2: The Death Knight summons 6 Skeletons. Rank 3: Summon Skeleton Knights: The Skeletons now are equiped with dark powerful armor, with weapons built from the frozen hells itself. The Skeleton Knights are far superior to the earlier Skeletons, can take more damage, and deal mroe damage, and look hella more badass.
Frozen Flash: This move I want to be unique, it has a 6-8 second cast, but the moves slow effect happens immediately. It just gets more and more powerful as the cast time continues, and if it finishes the person will be frozen solid for 3 seconds, while the slow effect will last for 8 seconds once cast is finished (If its interrupted, the slow will last 8 seconds passed that point). Rank 2 makes Frozen Flash cause damage during the cast time. Rank 3 you drain their health, giving it to you.
Ice Shards: A 4 second cast time, the Death Knight raises his sword, then stabs the ground with it. The ground around him turns frozen, then large Ice Shards stab out of the ground, doing damage to all within the radius, and giving a small slow effect. Rank 2 and 3 increases radius, and amount of shards that come up (more damage).
Legion of Darkness: A 10 second cast, the Death Knight raises his hand into the air, clouds turn dark, and then swirl into his hand. He then punches the ground, sending the dark energy through the ground, and raising a large legion of skeletal warriors. The warriors cannot be controlled, but just head straight for the enemy base, killing all in their path.
Unholy Aura: The Death Knights aura increases the life and damage of undead pets within the radius. It also gives the Death Knight a drain health effect on all of his hits. It also increases his armor and damage. The ranks just increase effectiveness, but also changes the Death Knights look to look mroe evil and powerful.
