not spelling correctly or misspelling is not being rude or being lazy..
CHOOSING not to, when one can IS, particularly if/when the person talking to you is affording you that same respect.
For example, I could explain the difference between someone who cannot communicate well in English due to social or ethnic status, vs someone who just doesn't care enough to give a toss...
Or...
I could be socially and communicatively equally inept and just say...
"yeah, whatever".
It really isn't all that difficult to get to know your correspondent....whether English is or isn't his first language, particularly when it's often [to use your term] "Blue eyed and blond hair" western teenage 'slang' being confused with 'trend-speak'.
Cutting corners in communication tells your audience much more about you than you may really want to reveal.
You know, it ain't "posh" ta speak rite, but "proper" ...peepel confuse the too...
